Malika was a 3 week old Feral Kitten when we found & rescued her, she’s now 11 years old.
She doesnt like any of the other cats at all, but will tolerate being in the same room as them as long as they are not too near her. She much prefers Dayton’s company and often accompanies or follows when he is taken for a walk. if not he is nearly always met on return home in the cul-de-sac. Malika is top cat/boss of our cats & will not take any messing, the only one to push her is Azi, but that’s typical of our Azi…lol.
Sukey is a 6 year old moggey, She is quite striking with not one other coloured hair on her. She much prefers to be outside playing than being in the house, she comes in for her food or goes upstairs to her bed to sleep whenever she feels like it. However in summer she is rarely in the house at all, and only comes in to eat.
Dayton is a male White GSD & is 6 years old, he’s vocal, noisey & very much a softy, he likes the cats & loves kittens because they will play more. He is on the large side for a GSD & can be timid so we ask visitors to completly ignore him when they first meet him, once he’s had a sniff he is fine but if you stroke him, be warned….he is a fuss pot & wants lots more…lol.
Tiana is a female Blue Spotted BSH & is 4 years old, she is a typical British Shorthair in being aloof & likes all her 4 paws to be firmly on the floor, it is she that deceides when she wants a fuss. She is the more dominant of our younger girls, it is she that rules the house beneath Malika.
Tyke is a neutered 4yr old Chocolate & Silver Male Ocicat, when he was younger we called him the great escape artist because there was not a cat flap he did’nt break or manage to get through, by his 1st birthday he was very fast & it was impossible to keep him indoors so in the end we relented & allowed him the freedom of going outside. However when the weather is cold he can be found snuggling up sharing the girls beds, or in one of ours. He is a very funny character, affectionate & can be demanding especially when he wants feeding or a fuss, there is no peace untill he gets his own way…but I would’nt swap him…lol.
In MEMORY OF:
KYA ~ RIP 18th November 2010
Kya was a gentle mother to all our pets, she’s a female GSD X Collie & passed away at the grand age of 19 years. She was very loving, always senseing when there was something wrong & would be at your side to comfort you. She was always grooming one of our pets so we used to say, we had the cleanest in Rugby from the amount she gave them. She would look after cats that were unwell, keeping them warm snuggled close to her allowing them in her bed, or cooling them with her tongue from drops of water from her water dish. We love & miss our beautiful loving Kya so very much. X
PATCH was put to rest when 16 yrs old, although physically fit & running around he had severe brain cell degeneration. He was a Welsh Collie & a year old when I had him being a little devil, every time the front door was opened he would make a dash, running to escape, we would then spend hours walking around our estate to find him.
By the time I finished training him the door could be left open, he be told to stay & he would not move, it took some doing though. He was a very protective boy so we had to watch him when the milkman, post, or visitors came as he would attack them if they put a foot inside the front door. He adored the children & would sit in dolls prams & be dressed up in clothes, be pulled around on scateboards & blankets, or sit & be play fed. He was very loyal, is still thought of & missed, rest in peace my boy. X
